Michelle Ostrove

Celebrity Vocal Coach, Michelle Ostrove with 23+ years of experience, offering Voice (singing) Lessons, and Piano Lessons in the Los Angeles, Chatsworth, Northidge, Calabasas, Simi Valley, Bell Canyon; she also has as studio in Newbury Park, Thousand Oaks area, as well as a studio in the Oxnard, Ventura, Camarillo, Port Hueneme area.

Michelle Ostrove specializes in artist development. Her clients have been on American Idol, America's Got Talent and many other TV shows and blockbuster movies. 

 

Michelle studied music at the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Science in Tempe, Arizona, and also holds a Master’s Degree. Michelle trained with many vocal coaches across the U.S.; she has put together techniques and vocal mechanics that get results.

Lois Blaisch

Lois Blaisch teaches songwriting and guitar. She is a singer, guitarist, songwriter, performer and producer best known for writing the multi-platinum #1 Pop & AC hit "Could've Been” by Tiffany. This song was later chosen by Carrie Underwood as her US debut on American Idol.  Lois’ songs have been nominated for three Grammy awards in the catagories; Pop, Jazz & Children’s music and “The Golden Reel Award” for the writing and singing on the theme to “Street Sharks” (a Disney animated TV series). Lois had a top 10 hit with jazz artist Earnestine Anderson (Quincy Jones’ Quest records) and she’s a member of BMI’s “Million Airs” Club.  Lois’ vocals and/or songs are featured on; Friends, Splash, Touched by an Angel, Thick of the Night, Top of The Pops, Sailor Moon, Neil Young’s “Living w/War and “Oasis 4”  Lois songs also appear on gold and platinum albums in Japan, the Philippines, Taiwon and South Africa. She has produced and released two of her own CD’s ,“Through Thick & Thin” and ”Valentine” worldwide and is currently finishing her latest CD "Rollercoaster".

Lois was invited to write music and sing for Waltisney children's 

records which resulted in song placements on three platinum Disney albums: "Mousersize", "Rainbow Bright" & Winnie the Pooh,“Take My Hand“. Lois started her studio singing career with lead vocals on the themes to TV shows "Stingray" and "Hunter' for Mike Post Productions. She was soon hired to sing a lead on the feature film"Splash" , Lois also sang many demos for hit songwriters, Diane Warren, Steve Diamond and on a variety of TV shows and radio commercials (Levi’s, Coke, Kaiser-Permantee, Oregon Lotto, Pepsi, Budweiser, Round Table Pizza, Van Camps Baked Beans, Sunny D. and Safeway Stores).

Jaki Nelson

Jaki Nelson is our songwriting instructor and teaches piano. Two-time Top 10, four-time Billboard pop/dance artist Jaki Nelson is a singer, songwriter, and producer from Los Angeles.Her debut single, “What We Wanna Do” spent six weeks on the Billboard Dance Club Songs Chart and peaked at #29. Her follow-up single, “Uh Oh”, spent 12 weeks on the same chart and peaked at #9. “Uh Oh” also debuted at #12 on Beatport Future House, speaking at #4, and was featured as a Spotify Discovery Weekly track. Jaki has performed at NY Fashion Week (2016/2017), LA Fashion Week (2017) and prestigious clubs including the legendary Avalon Hollywood in 2018 & 2019 (Previous performers include Lady Gaga) as well as LA Pride Weekend (2018) and a headlining spot on the main stage with powerhouse DJ Hector Fonseca (Beyonce, Rihanna) at San Francisco Pride (2018). In 2018, Jaki released “Dancing With Strangers”, written and produced with GRAMMY winner Dave Aude who has created over 120 #1 Billboard dance remixes (Madonna, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Rihanna). “Dancing With Strangers” debuted on the front page of Billboard.com, peaked at #10 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs Chart, and was the only single by an independent artist in the top ten for that week. Jaki shares the honor with greats including U2, Ariana Grande, Cher, Lenny Kravitz, Kygo, and Calvin Harris featuring Sam Smith. The track also beat Steve Aoki and Vanessa Hudgens on the breakouts for the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Chart. In 2019, she debuted her track “The End” by The Disco Fries (RCA, Atlantic) featuring Jaki Nelson, written by Jaki and Chris Ganoudis (R3HAB) on Austin Kramer's Friday Cratediggers playlist. She also started producing for Joey Suarez, an up and coming touring artist and Instagram influencer. In October, they debuted their upcoming collaboration "Changing History" at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Michael Stern

Michael Stern, C.A.S., is our in-house Audio Engineer. He is a Music Producer, Audio Engineer, Scoring Mixer and Guitarist based in Los Angeles. He has been working in professional recording studios around the world since 1982, including 5 occasions to work at the famous Abbey Road Studios.. He has recorded and mixed 260 film scores including Iron Man 2, Sex And The City 1 and 2, Dumb And Dumber 2, August: Osage County, The Notebook, Liar, Liar and most recently, the #1 Amazon Prime film, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm. Also involved in TV and Record Productions, he’s worked on dozens of TV shows and Records. He has written technical articles for The A & R Registry and Film Music Magazine for three decades. He is a member of IATSE MPEG Local 700, NARAS, AFM Local 47, The Cinema Audio Society, ASCAP, and in December 2020 was submitted as a candidate to join AMPAS, the Oscars Academy. Actively involved in charity fundraising, he is an event producer for “The Get Together Foundation” and has helped raise over $1.5 million for Los Angeles charities mostly focused on people experiencing homelessness, as well as for The City Of Hope Hospital and Musicares. He also was recently featured in the July 2020 Mix Magazine and the December 2020 Music Connection Magazine for his mix of Diane Warren’s Oscar nominated song, “I’m Standing With You”, which helped raise over $7 million for The United Nations-World Health Organization Covid-19 Relief Fund. His latest work is completing mixing on the record, “Blues Travels Fast” by Michael Allman, Gregg Allman’s first-born son, and “Thank You, Mister Rogers: Music & Memories”, a multi-artist tribute to the late Fred Rogers. Other notable recording artists include work for Maroon 5, Bon Jovi, Soul Asylum, Tom Jones, Thomas Dolby, Chick Corea, and Mickey Dolenz. Work on TV shows includes Seal Team, Timeless, Get Shorty, Maverick, Son Of The Beach, Doctor Who, Welcome To Paradox, The Cape and The Pretender.  A graduate of the world-renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston, he was a double major in guitar and Music production and Engineering. His graduating class of 1985 was the very first graduating class for the MP&E major, and had a very special bunch of graduates, most of which still have vibrant careers in the music industry.
